This Historic event to be held at Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden partnered with the Staten Island Community Alliance.  Juneteenth celebrates the emancipation of the last enslaved Black Americans in the United States.

On Saturday June 17,  2023 at 11pm – 6pm, The Staten Island Community Alliance  and Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden will host the 3rd Inaugural Juneteenth Freedom Festival on Staten Island. In collaboration with over a dozen of Black-led community organizations, businesses and Snug Harbor campus partners. The Festival will take place on the South Meadow Lawn and Tuscan Garden.  Located at 1000 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island, NY 10301.

Visitors of all ages will enjoy live performances, arts and cultural, programming including readings of General Order Number 3 and the Emancipation Proclamation, Fathers day Tribute, awards, drumming, as well as personal health and wellness.


Join this remembrance and celebration, and Staten Island’s commitment to culture, to community, and progress toward inclusion and equity in New York City.
